I have a new respect for ancient books and graphic designs upon viewing the British Library. The influence of graphic designs in centuries past is beyond my visual ability. I never thought to study designs created thousands of years ago for a better understanding of CRAP. I can see proximity and alignment in the Mercator Atlas of Europe, and contrast and alignment in The Golden Haggadah. Authors of design employed several basic techniques such as preparing a historic background, and building sites to capture the human eye to transfer the importance of these books.
